Overview

Responsible for the development, integration and analysis of physical security standards and implementation, as well as identifying areas for possible improvement to present a complete solution to our customers. Work with customers to aid in the real world application of physical security standards and principles to new and existing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Capabilities and limitations of various physical security systems , including local area networks and wide area networks; the principles of information systems design, especially related to multi-protocol, multi-platform client/server environments; principles and practices of networking technologies; basic understanding of LAN/WAN protocols; theory and practice of LAN/WAN administration; understanding of desktop operating systems and various software applications.
  • Execute Physical Security Reviews (PSRs) ensuring all vulnerabilities are identified as part of this review process and are documented and effective corrective action is taken to mitigate or repair the security vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with customer to review security related documentation and help them understand the implementation of all physical security standards and policies to their real world environment.
  • Develop and review new and cutting edge technology and security equipment for possible application to the existing security system.
  • Be and remain connected with industry trends and events.  Develop and maintain personal relationships with key industry personnel and manufacturers.
  • Design schematics and blueprints.
  • Provide support on proposals for physical security applications.
  • Perform independent reviews of proposed architecture and validate existing security systems to ensure compatibility and performance of products.
  • Oversee the engineering design and pricing on all security solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors, sub-contractors, and engineers to address customer requirements and develop solutions.
  • Deliver detailed presentations around Physical Security Solutions.
  • Provide network diagrams to CAD team on current and future systems.

Qualifications

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • 10+ years of recent experience working with physical security principles and/or access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Experience in conducting reviews of existing facilities and applying physical security principles to practical applications experienced at the site.
  • Experience in analysis of new and cutting edge physical security technology and devices.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert supporting multiple projects in pre and post sales.
  • Knowledge of multiple components that make up a security system to include the network back haul.
  • Broad knowledge around large enterprise class video solutions.
  • Understanding of new DOD FIPS-201-2 standards within the government.
  • Able to communicate with multiple levels of management and high level customers.
  • Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
  • Honeywell Pro-Watch certified
  • AMAG certified
  • Subject matter expert and experience with LENEL ACS systems
  • Subject matter expert with multiple VMS applications.
